World Environment Day Observed at SES Senvawn

Standard English School Senvawn marked World Environment Day with a vibrant and meaningful celebration on campus, bringing together students, staff, and the wider community under the theme “Inspired by Nature.”

The day was observed as a Green Day, featuring a rich lineup of activities that engaged students across all levels. Tree planting was at the heart of the event, reinforcing the school’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Students also participated in drawing competitions, speech presentations, and essay writing competitions, all centred on the pressing theme of “Global Warming: Let’s Mitigate the Effect of Global Warming and Join Hands in the Stewardship Towards Nature.”

Group competitions further encouraged collaborative thinking and collective responsibility toward the environment. The celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, honouring the outstanding participants across all events.

In a special highlight, the Village Authority joined the school in the observance, reflecting the shared commitment of both the institution and the local community to environmental care and action.

The school remains steadfast in its mission to nurture environmentally conscious citizens, and this year’s World Environment Day served as a powerful reminder that protecting nature begins with education, awareness, and community.
