Care for the sick

This year, SES Senvawn has faced a season of concern for the health of its students. Two students were diagnosed with Tuberculosis and admitted to hospital for treatment, while another student — who has been living with a congenital heart condition — has undergone several rounds of medical treatment in Churachandpur.

As she now prepares to travel to Aizawl for further treatment, her teachers made a point to visit her before her departure, offering words of encouragement and their warm support.

This visit reflects a cherished practice at SES Senvawn: whenever a student falls ill, teachers come together — contributing from their own pockets — to visit and stand beside the student and their family in their time of need. All three students have been presented with ₹1,000 each, raised through the voluntary contributions of their fellow teachers.

It is a small gesture, perhaps, but one that speaks volumes about the spirit of this school — where students are not merely taught, but genuinely cared for.
