First Day at SES Dapchhuah, Sakawrdai

Mizoram, April 1, 2026 – The wait officially came to an end today as Standard English Schools (SES) in Dapchhuah and Sakawrdai commenced their first full academic session, marking a historic day for the institutions and the community.

True to the anticipation leading up to the day, parents and students gathered in large numbers at both school premises early this morning. The campuses, which have been the focus of rapid development in recent weeks, were buzzing with excitement as children, dressed in their new uniforms, stepped into their classrooms for the first time.

At SES Dapchhuah, the day signified the fruition of efforts that began with its inauguration on February 25. With a new school building, staff quarters, and all essential infrastructure now complete, the school welcomed its inaugural batch of over 70 enrolled students.

Meanwhile, at SES Sakawrdai, the scene was one of seamless readiness. With textbooks and supplies already in place, Headmistress Tlanglawmkim and her team were on hand to guide parents and students through the final arrangements, ensuring a smooth start to the academic year.

Classes officially began following the morning assemblies, with teachers leading lessons in the newly equipped classrooms. The day represents a significant milestone for the SES Schools, as they expand their vision of quality education across the region.
