Borewell at Zairawn School

Zairawn: A borewell was inaugurated at Hermon Dew English Junior High School, Zairawn, on 12th October, 2026 at around 10:30 a.m. by the 48th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under its Civic Action Programme.

The borewell, which was dug to a depth of approximately 160 feet, is reported to have a good supply of clean water. The initiative is expected to provide a reliable water source for the school and help meet its essential daily water needs.

The school community expressed great joy and gratitude for this valuable support, as access to water is one of the school’s basic necessities. The installation of the borewell will greatly benefit the school, saving it from the considerable expense of arranging such a facility independently.

The initiative reflects the CRPF’s commitment to community welfare through its Civic Action Programme, bringing meaningful assistance to local institutions and addressing essential needs at the grassroots level.
