80th Independence Day at SES Dapchhuah

Although there was no community-wide programme, the 80th Independence Day of India was observed with a special programme at SES Dapchhuah on 15 August 2026.

The programme began with a flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by a short programme organised for the students. During the programme, Miss Lily Suongruolkim addressed and guided the students through an informative and meaningful session.

The students were taught about the significance of Independence Day, why it is observed, and why the occasion is important for every citizen of India. They were also encouraged to become responsible and good members of society and were reminded of their responsibilities towards the cleanliness and well-being of their community.

The students also took part in activities related to the Indian National Flag (Tiranga) and the National Anthem, learning about their significance and the proper way to honour them.

The programme was successfully conducted, and it was a meaningful and enjoyable Independence Day celebration for the students and the school community of SES Dapchhuah.
